Help & Support

Supporting people

There are many ways to get help and support within our community. Our Abbey Food Hub has three sessions per week, we have two general support drop-in sessions and a community coffee morning each week. In addition, parents can get help at Frazzled Friday (run with The Cambridge Acorn Project).  We can refer people to The Citizens Advice Bureau, Cambridge Online and the Household Support Fund.  Do come to a session if you need any help.

“It has opened my eyes to the amazing people that are out there who provide help and support”

Drop-in Beneficiary

Food Hub

The Food Hub is open three days a week on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. People use the Food Hub for lots of reasons, no referral is needed. With help from partners like Cambridge Sustainable Food, CoFarm Cambridge, and Food Cycle Cambridge, we are working to improve the food system, while making sure people have enough to eat.

Support Drop-ins

We have two drop-ins per week at The Hub, 15 Barnwell Road, to help people complete forms, use computer, print things, or just pop-in to use the Wifi and have a cuppa! No need to book, just drop-in.

Tuesday 2-4pm & Thursday 10-12 pm

Referrals & Signposting

We are able to refer people to partner organisations who give advice, issue fuel vouchers and help in many other ways. We regularly work with the Cambridge Citizen’s Advice Bureau, Cambridge Acorn Project, Cambridge Online, Cambridge United Community Trust, and many other partners. Do come to a drop-in or get in touch to find out more.
