Abbey People and Cambridge Acorn Project partner to create Untangle Tuesdays drop-ins
We at Abbey People have partnered with Cambridge Acorn Project to support local families with issues around mental wellbeing. Together we have created weekly drop-in sessions called Untangle Tuesdays. These are for families to come and talk to a professional about any issues that are occurring in their household.
Cambridge Acorn Project specialises in therapeutic work with children and families. They deal with issues around stress, trauma, attachment, and social justice. Their aim is to relieve the suffering of children and families in Cambridgeshire – they do this by the provision of a therapeutic model of social work.
The sessions will be run by Becky Wilburn, therapeutic practitioner for Cambridge Acorn Project. She will be at the Hub every Tuesday (term time only) from 9am-12pm. The aim of these sessions is to help you unpick the issues that you find are happening in your family. This can include relationship difficulties and dealing with challenging behaviour. Also, issues such as anxiety, including school refusing, and developmental concerns.
If this sounds like something that would be beneficial to you and your family, don’t be afraid to come along to one of our drop-in sessions. We are at the Hub, 15 Barnwell Road.
