Abbey People is a dynamic community charity based in Cambridge, working to reduce poverty, improve opportunities, and build a stronger, fairer community for all. We are looking for new trustees to join our board and help shape the future of our work.
Why become a Trustee?
As a trustee, you will play a key role in guiding the charity’s strategy, safeguarding its assets, and ensuring that Abbey People continues to make a real difference in the lives of local people. · The ability to think creatively and make sound, independent judgements
· Integrity, objectivity, and strong teamwork skills
· Experience in areas such as finance, community development, safeguarding, or facilities management (helpful but not essential)
The practicalities
· This is a voluntary role – trustees are not paid, but reasonable expenses can be reimbursed.

· Trustees are expected to attend four board meetings per year, plus occasional events or working groups.
